Legend is Waveney Class Rescue boat Originally from England where she worked out of Gt Yarmouth & Gorleston. She went out on 279 missions and saved 82 lives. legend came to NZ in 2000 and was operated by the Hawkes Bay Volunteer Coastguard. She was sold to a private owner in 2003 and under went a conversion to work as a Charter boat for dive and fishing trips around the North Auckland seas. Legend was again sold in 2008 and came to Wellington.
